A sense of Essence @ Sheraton Imperial

I was back for a buffet dinner in Essence at Sheraton Imperial again. It was quite a quiet night with not many patrons. A good place to chat with my friend as well as having dinner though.:)

I was already starting to look for food. Starter? I want a bowl of hot creamy soup to boost my appetite. LOL.
Creamy carrot soup

It was quite creamy but lack of some carrot flavor. I think it's not a genuine carrot soup.

 Snap snap.. Cheers babe!

Had some salad as well. I like the cheese added to my salad.

A bottle of complimentary selected red wine.

Well, I have a voucher for a complimentary bottle of wine! I opted for red wine instead of a white one. My dinner is alcoholic tonight. ^^

 Assam fish

The assam fish is just a so so. Not very spicy but it lacks the sourly kick! I would prefer if it's more spicy and sour.

Dim sum

The dim sum served is very disappointing. None of the above is worth mention especially the prawn dumpling.
Since it's a halal restaurant, do not expect to have "char siew bao" here but they served bbq chicken bun instead. You can skip the dim sum section to prevent any disappointment. >.<

Fresh raw oysters

I had some raw oysters as well. They were serving some raw items at the Japanese selection. Sushi and sashimi are typical and nothing surprising.

 Pot of green tea

 Mocha

 Cakes and pastries

Ice-cream

I always look forward to the desserts whenever I dine. End my dinner with a cuppa mocha and some sugary desserts! In Essence you could always be spoiled with their quite huge selections of desserts. Cakes and pastries are absolute, they do serve some local desserts like sago with gula melaka (brown syrup), caramel popcorn, doughnuts, macarons, chocolate fondue, ice-cream, waffles, pancake, and of course fresh fruits.
Overall, it's quite a nice dinner. :)
The price for buffet dinner is charged at RM98 per pax.
